Our caregivers at Comfort Givers Home Care LLC assist clients with medication reminders only when medications have been pre-selected by the client, a family member, a nurse, or a pharmacist and are stored in containers other than prescription bottles, such as medication minders. Medication minder containers shall be clearly marked as to the day and time of dosage.

Our Medication Reminders Services Include:

• Making inquiries as to whether medications were taken
• Providing verbal prompting to take medications
• Handing over the appropriately marked medication minder container to the client
• Unsealing the designated medication minder container for the client if they experience physical difficulty opening it

These restrictions apply to both prescription and over-the-counter medications. The home services worker must promptly inform the supervisor of any discrepancies observed in the pre-selected medications, such as those being taken too frequently, too infrequently, or at incorrect times based on the written guidelines.
